That makes sense but then I just think it should be an attribute of the fatPing element. Description just happens to be present because it's an RSS payload, and even in RSS it's not required.

Enclosures are problematic as they require an extra transaction with the server, which defeats the whole point of a fat ping.

I'm not sure what the proper syntax should be or what the right mechanism is to accomplish it. But MIME types for payloads are a well-understood and necessary part of almost every transport out there. It'd be good to see rssCloud expand beyond the limitations of text-only payloads, IMO.

If you can suggest a better mechanism, I'm happy to jump onboard! I just want to be able to use all the rssCloud code I already have written to do some stuff besides news aggregation.

I think the title and description are merely what was in the rss item that is being forwarded.
The payload could be anything so you are free to add what you want.
Meaning there could be an enclosure inside there as well, which clients already understand.
I have a bad cold. Apologies if I'm missing something or being stupid.
